Having trouble finding the best way to phrase this.
I have a Flash (as3) game that is an RTS. You send an attack and the time the attack arrives is stored in mysql. What is the best way to handle the attack arrival time. For example sending the message back to the user is easy, just check if the time is reached when they log in.
However what is the best way to calculate battle losses and apply them to the individuals accounts, like for troop loss. For example a game like Tribal Wars.
Sorry if this question is too open ended. I have been trying to figure out the best way to handle this for a few days and havnt had any luck. A point in the right direction would really help me.
